Using the Lead Pipeline (Kanban) View

The Pipeline view turns your leads into a visual Kanban board, making it easy to see where every lead stands in your sales process and move them forward with a simple drag and drop.

Who Can Access This

Admin, Team Member, and Field User can all access the Pipeline view.

Switching to Pipeline View

  1. Navigate to Leads from the sidebar.
  2. At the top of the page, you'll see toggle buttons: Table | Pipeline | Map.
  3. Click Pipeline.

The page transforms into a horizontal board with columns representing each of your lead statuses. Lead cards are stacked within each column.

How It Works

Each column on the board is a lead status — for example, New, Contacted, Appointment Set, Estimate Sent, and so on. Every lead appears as a card in the column that matches its current status.

Drag and Drop

To change a lead's status, simply drag the card from one column and drop it into another. The status updates instantly — no need to open the lead, edit a field, and save. It's the fastest way to move leads through your pipeline.

For example:

  • You just called a new lead? Drag their card from New to Contacted.
  • You've sent them an estimate? Move the card to Estimate Sent.
  • They signed the contract? Drop them in Won.

Opening a Lead

Click on any card to go directly to that lead's detail page, where you can see the full record, log activities, and make edits.

Configuring Your Board

Click the gear icon on the Pipeline view to customize how your board looks and works.

Choose Your Columns

Select which lead statuses appear as columns on the board. You might not need every status visible — for example, you could hide "Lost" leads to keep the board focused on active opportunities.

Reorder Columns

Drag columns to rearrange them so they match the natural progression of your sales process. A typical left-to-right flow might look like:

  1. New
  2. Contacted
  3. Appointment Set
  4. Estimate Sent
  5. Follow Up
  6. Negotiation
  7. Won
  8. Lost

Choose Card Fields

Select which fields display on each lead card. Options include:

  • Name
  • Phone
  • Email
  • Lead Source
  • Assigned To
  • Potential Value
  • Date Added

Pro Tip: Keep cards lean. Showing just the name, assigned to, and potential value gives you the key info at a glance without cluttering the board. You can always click a card to see the full details.

Filtering Still Works

The same filter bar from the Table view applies to the Pipeline view. You can filter by:

  • Status (multi-select)
  • Source (multi-select)
  • Project Type (multi-select)
  • Salesperson (multi-select with search)
  • Date Range

Filters narrow down which cards appear on the board. This is useful when you want to see, for example, only leads from a specific source or assigned to a particular salesperson.

When to Use Pipeline vs. Table View

| Use Pipeline When... | Use Table When... | |---------------------|------------------| | You want a visual overview of your sales process | You need to sort by specific columns | | You're in a sales meeting reviewing active leads | You're looking for a specific lead by name | | You want to quickly update statuses by dragging | You want to see many leads at once in a compact list | | You prefer a Kanban-style workflow | You need to compare data across many fields |

Both views show the same data — it's just a matter of which layout works best for the task at hand.
