Setting Up Your Company Profile
The first thing you should do after logging into BuilderMate is set up your company profile. This information appears on every quote, invoice, contract, and PDF your team generates — so it's worth getting right from the start.
Who Can Access This
Only Admin users can edit company profile settings. If you don't see the options described below, check with your account admin.
Where to Find It
Head to Settings > Company from the sidebar. You'll see a form with all your company details laid out clearly.
Step-by-Step Setup
1. Enter Your Company Details
Fill in the following fields:
- Company Name — Your official business name as you want it to appear on documents.
- Company Email — The main contact email for your company.
- Company Phone — Your primary business phone number.
- Company Address — Start typing your address and BuilderMate will suggest matching addresses via autocomplete. Select the correct one from the dropdown to ensure accurate formatting.
- Website URL — Your company website, if you have one.
2. Upload Your Logo
Click the logo area to upload your company logo. This logo will appear on:
- Quotes
- Invoices
- Contracts
- All exported PDFs
Supported formats: PNG and JPG.
Recommended size: Square image, at least 200x200 pixels. A higher-resolution logo (400x400 or above) will look sharper on printed documents.
Pro Tip: If your logo has a transparent background, use the PNG format to preserve it. This gives you the cleanest look on documents.
3. Set Your Timezone
Select your timezone from the dropdown menu (for example, America/New_York or America/Los_Angeles). This setting affects:
- How dates and times display throughout BuilderMate
- Scheduling and calendar entries
- When notifications are sent
Make sure this matches the timezone where your business primarily operates. If your team spans multiple time zones, choose the one your office runs on.
4. Save Your Changes
Click Save to apply your company profile. All of your information will immediately be used across every document BuilderMate generates.
What Happens Next
Once your company profile is saved, BuilderMate pulls this information into every quote, invoice, and contract automatically. You won't need to re-enter it anywhere else. If you rebrand or move offices, just come back to Settings > Company and update the details — future documents will reflect the changes right away.
Good to Know
- Your company profile is organization-wide. Any changes an Admin makes apply for everyone on the team.
- Existing documents that were already generated or sent will keep the company info they were created with. Only new documents pick up the updated details.
- If you haven't uploaded a logo yet, documents will generate without one — so it's a good idea to add it early.
